Piano Lessons

I returned to Logan last year and recently started my piano studio here.  I currently have a few openings available for students.   I hold a Piano Pedagogy Certificate from Utah State University where I taught lessons at the youth conservatory there.   I LOVE to teach!  I enjoy the challenge of tailoring my lessons to each student.  My goal during lessons is to make them enjoyable and productive.  I create an atmosphere where my students are comfortable asking questions and where the focus is on improvement. I enjoy helping my students apply technique, theory, musicianship and music analysis to each song they learn.  I also teach music composition to those students who are interested.  I believe a solid, thorough musical foundation is important and creates a snowball effect in how rapid students progress.  I use a goal-based system where we make very specific goals each week and my students earn "Piano Points" for achieving those goals.  I also teach my students HOW to practice correctly, which will make their practice time more productive. I gain great joy in watching my students progress and am excited to start teaching your child.  The first lesson is free.  Come see if I'm the right teacher-fit for you!  :)
